How are cookies used on fluteandpianoteaching.co.uk

On fluteandpianoteaching we use cookies for tracking site usage and for the security of our logged in users. We do not store personal information of any kind.

Tracking site usage

In order to track site usage we use Google Analytics. Cookies are needed to enable Google Analytics to function. Google Analytics is a common method used by websites throughout the world for tracking users visits to a website.

Google Analytics collects information about:

  • the pages our users visit on fluteandpianoteaching.co.uk
  • the time they spend on each fluteandpianoteaching.co.uk page
  • how they get to the site
  • what they click on while visiting the site

__utmb tells us when a user has visited the site
__utmc tells us when a user has closed their browser. __utmb and __utmc combined help us to track how long on average our users spend on the site
__utmz tells us where the user came from. I.e. did they find us through a search engine or from another website or another method.

Security

To maintain site security we use 2 cookies when our users are logged in:
